hello to all out there, been browsing this site and found it pretty good with advice.
i have just started to run +- 3 months back but fell sick in between and had to stop for a few weeks. i started on a walk run routine as i had not been active for many years.
i made the mistake of using the trainers that i already had and they were a pig to break in. i had no injuries until i began to run 12 min and walking for 1 min x3. [3 times a week]
all went well but the next day my left knee was killing me. i rested it and ran a week later but it still hurts like hell and now my lower back is hurting aswell. i have since been to a running shop and have lovely new shoes. the shoes were for extra cushioning as well.
i have had trouble with my back before and it is an old injury from playing rugby 20 years back. i have been to chiropractor 3 years back.
just wondering if i must go back to the same chiropractor or if i should go and see a sports physio but being new to all this i have no idea how to choose which 1 to go to as i dont know of anyone to ask for recommendations and i live in thurrock south east where there doesnt seem to be any that i can find that deal with sports injury
please help as i really enjoying running and dont want to give it up
