Ran my first half marathon last week and after run for 2 days I had a sharp pain on the inside of foot / ankle area, possibly navicular but I'm no expert. Pain subsided and I ran a couple of 5km in the week where it flared up just slightly but subsided in a couple of hours. However this morning I ran 10km and the pain is back and is sharp and sore to walk. Since January I have been gradually building mileage up weekly and have been averaging 30-40miles per month, generally running 2/3 times per week and taking 2/3 rest normally between runs. This pain is starting to worry me that I'm going to have to take a break from running just as I am making good progress in times and mileage. The photo attached is to show the area of pain. Maybe it looks like a bump or lump but both feet are the same and no pain on other foot. Does anyone have any suggestions as what this could be or what might help. I have never had this pain until last week.
