Having just looked at the "Runners Forum Social" thread (spam alert!) and felt that I couldn't attend due to suspect commitment because a) I haven't run for 3 weeks, b) I haven't run in an organised race other than a 4k santa dash last year, I decided to enter a race.

I've just entered the Northumberland Coastal Run (Voted Britain's best race by *cough* RW) and then have the confidence and experience to call myself a runner, rather than a dasher and feel able to talk to you lot. It's 14 miles, like  If that doesn't get me out running, nothing will.

If anyone would like to meet up before or after the race then I'd be more than happy to do so.

If I can keep my Santa Dash pace up for 14 miles I should manage to do it in an hour and a half, although I may need a team of reindeer after the first 4k :d
