Hi
I jumped up my mileage from 7 miles to 12 and my legs are to tight to run for most of the following week. I ve done this because the group I belong to go out on a long runs Sundays and I like it.
Can I just do cardio at the gym instead of running and just continue this until my legs adjust.

Hi, sounds like your doing too much too soon.

The accepted rule seems to be the 10% rule > increase your mileage slowly / 10% per week.
