Hi, I'm not a runner anymore but I have a chronic inflamation of both Achilles tendos probably caused by the Hauglund Syndrome (calcifications at the back of the ankles), which is killing me.
I've had it for more than 10 years and never been able to treat it properly. Been told that the only option at this advanced stage is surgery by an orthopedic, but an Italian podiatrist has suggested to try with a multi-pronged approach of shock wave terapy, insoles made to measure and suitable shoes.
I'm looking for a good podiatrist in the Leeds / West Yorkshire area who could help me.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes, I'm Italian and trying to translate medical language.
Thanks for your help
