I don’t know if anyone else has or is experiencing this. I’ve ran since my teens, I’m now in my early fifties. I’ve been sidelined now for a while with lower back pain that radiates through my groin and in to my hamstrings. I don’t know if the hamstrings are the issue or it’s some lower back sacroiliac problem. In the last 6 months I’ve started playing vets rugby so now doing a lot more sprinting with sudden start/stops. If I run even a few miles…..I struggle to walk for days after. Tried new trainers, back support when driving, stretching, yoga etc. The only thing that works is very deep massage. One hour Thai massage enables me to run freely for only about a day. Have used chiropractor and an osteopath. No real relief. Any advice greatly accepted.
