I have decided to follow the BUPA - Beginner's 5km fun run: 8-week training programme as suggested by Taurencloud (Thanks Taurencloud)
I have just returned from the gym about half an hour ago and I am quite pleased with my first attempt.
Though just a 'drop in the ocean' so to speak for a lot of you guys and gals its an achievement for me - and I've got to start somewhere!
So today I have done the following:
Recumbant bike - 5mins (warm up)
Brisk walk - 6mins
Run 1 min, Walk 2 min X6 = 18 min
Walk - 6 mins (warm down) + 50 sit ups (but I normally do these anyway)
Am quite chuffed
