Hi all, i thought i'd better post something i have been meaning to for a while now!! we started this running lark in Jan 07, as we were fed up with our weight gain so with 4 stone to loose, we needed something to motivate us. so we entered the Plymouth Half marathon, with allot of hard work and a controlled diet I managed to loose 4 stone on the date of the event, my target was to be in the top 600 people (as im a really competitive person), which i achieved.
After this experience i have ran a few more event and have entered some more to keep me busy for the latter part of the year! As always i have set some personnel targets for the 1/2 marathon and 10k distances 1hr20 and 38min.
Does anyone know of any 10k races in the next 2 weeks?

2007 events

Plymouth Half 1hr 42 mins
Miners 10k 41 min (came 4th )
Torbay Half 1hr 32 mins
6 moor mile 47 mins (33rd)

events booked

Cardiff half
Cheddar half

I run every other day and the days in between i cross train with other sports i enjoy...
I proves if you want to succeed in something then all you have to do is "just get on with it !!"
