It must have been National Compliment Day yesterday....

I was out with my 18 year old son last night... we went to get a drink at Coffee Republic. He offered to pay :|
I was chatting to the lady serving us and then said "my son's paying"

"Your Son?" ...she looked shocked
"Yes" I said ...wondering why she was so surprised
"You don't look old enough to have a son that age!" she replied

 :)

Perhaps the fact I was running with my cap in my hand.....
I think that approach can work during a big marathon event where people go along collecting for charity. But maybe you're pushing it a bit trying to pass the hat around on an ordinary training spin?... :d

Well, if it was national compliment day yesterday, I seem to have missed out and I overheard a wonderfully backhanded one given to someone else.

Bloke at Tae Kwon Do training last night said to my mate "your bum looks much smaller in black". It's grading tonight, so most people were in leggings/jogging bottoms last night instead of the usual white pyjamas, so that their kit will be clean tonight (not me, I missed too much training while I was injured, so I'm nowhere near ready). It's not much of a compliment to tell someone their bum looks smaller when not swathed in baggy white dobok trousers
