Hi all,

Been running very happy in my Nike Cesium. I have a servere over pronation and to my shock and horror i get back from my run tonight to find one of them has a spilt in. I get on the thinking do a google search and purchase some more or at leaset an updated model. I don't seem to be able to get them for love or money in the uk!

Look at shipping them in from America as they actually work out cheaper that way anyhow but cannot find any in my size UK 9, US 10! Can any one point me in the right direction to find these shoes or suggest some alternatives for a servere over pronator? :((

Didn't know that the Cesium had been stopped, although it is very much a niche shoe. Sadly there is nothing else on the market that works in the same way - there are other motion control shoes like the Brooks Beast but they are about twice the weight. Gon into your nearest specialist that stocks Nike and ask if they can get some?

It may come to that as i do like the Cesium but as you say its a very niche market dam my bent foot! Only problem the shoe costs almost double in the shops than on the web that is if they can even get them! :(

The Cesium has a 3 degree varus wedge, so as Richard suggests, in theory if you got an orthotic made with the same degree of support, you could put them in a neutral shoe. The Cesium does also have Warptech in the forefoot though, which also contributes to controlling the footstrike and encouraging re-supination.
Lots of shoes are cheaper on the internet, but if you are after a specific shoe then you might have to pay the rrp I'm afraid

Thanks for the number may give them a bell tomorrow! I have brought some Asic fountation 8's but whilst the first few miles seemed great i did the Bath Victoria park last Saturday only 4 miles and ended up in A+E as they've damaged the ligaments to the underside of my foot and couldn't walk on it.

I know the Cesiums suit my feet so if i could still get some more i would! Well gotta get healed up before running first though! :( Hate being on the shelf!
