Hi all

I'm keen to try some XC running, with a view to a race next year.

I'm in the South West Essex area, can anybody recommend some popular routes and possible events not too long, still got some weight to loose?

If you can wait a while Peter these races are friendly enough.

They are trail races rather than XC,but there not far for you to travel.

Phoenix Striders This club run a summer series of 5.2 k Trail races once a month between May and August.

Getting in touch with a few clubs would be a good way to find out about XC events... without my club I don't think I'd know about any at all! Instead I'll be entering numerous events over the winter. :happy:
