Hi
As the title suggests I've had one week off from running. This is the result of an illness that affected my chest and breathing. I'm feeling better now but I'm struggling to run. I've also noticed my pace is all over the place whereas before i was good at remaining steady. I'm also finding myself clock watching while digging which i know is the worst thing i can do personally as it makes it feel harder.

Little background: I completed couch to 5k and had been running thirty minutes on a consistent basis. Ive completed it before but didn't manage to keep up the habit whereas this time i have.
I've got Asthma and it's my breathing that is stopping me running recently.

Is it normal to lose fitness this fast? Or am i psyching myself out?

Either way how do i get motivated and get back at it?

Thank you for reading

You will lose a little fitness with a week off, this will be exacerbated by the illness you had.
Drop you training back a bit, recover properly and build up again, slowly.
