Hi All,
After much deliberation I finally took up a friend's suggestion to start running. I dabbled a bit last year, doing Manchester & Liverpool 10K's, and again I did the Manchester 10K last Sunday in 1:06.16 which I was pleased with. However, I'm a bit worried that I am now actually starting to enjoy it ;) Anyway, I've agreed to do a Half Marathon in September - If anyone can suggest the best way to move up to the next level (preferably without the shin splints though) :)
Thanks all

Hello Ninja Badger

In my far from expert opinion, the first things I'd do would be to make sure you have a decent pair of trainers, then find a suitable training schedule. There are loads on the net (halhigdon.com or runnersworld website etc) or there are many experienced runners on this forum who can point you in the right direction.

Good luck - hope all goes well
