Hi am just starting out and loving every second of freedom that running is giving me but to progress on do I need to stick at a distance and work on pace or keep upping the distance then work on pace ?

Hi - what is it you're aiming for? You're asking how to progress, but what is it you're progressing towards - are you wanting to compete in races, and if so, what distance?

If you're enjoying going out running for that freedom, I would carry on as you are and not worry about 'progressing', unless that's going to add your enjoyment.
