Hi guys,

Just noticed that next year's Paris half-marathon is on the day after my good lady's birthday. Quite often go there for her birthday anyway so figure i may as well combine it with a run.

Anyone ever run this event? Any thoughts or comments?

Cheers

because i may find 13miles a bit tough with no kneecaps!

lets just say my other half fails to share my enthusiasm for running. she is one of these people who can do very little excercise and eat what she likes whilst never going above her ideal weight of 9 stone.

if i didn't love her, i'd hate her......

Why not buy her an entry for her birthday?!
I did that for my partners 60th - not the Paris Half but the Guy Fawkes '10' in North Yorkshire. They gave her the number 60 so everyone knew who she was and cheered her all the way. There were balloons and a welcoming party for her at the Finish and she was presented with a bottle of bubbly at the prize giving. She hasn't forgotten that one!
Cheers!

What a lovely story.

I am thinking I might just get away with the offer of a romantic weekend (with a run in the middle). Must give this some thought.
