Pastas have a higher complex carbohydrate level than noodles. This helps provide a sustained energy supply over the long run!

Pasta everytime but noodles rather than nothing!

In answer to Dale's original question noddles and spagetti have similar glycaemic indexes (around 40), which means they are both slower burning so if you fancy a change from pasta (this excludes pot noodles and instant noodles).......rice and pulses are also good alternatives.

Hotfoot - you mean the the spud is not native to Ireland????

Hey Steady Edwina,

The number of Italians and pasta eaters winning medals at world championships and the Olympic games is considerably more than the noodle eaters of far Eastern countries.
