For anyone who is running the London Marathon this week - may I wish you the very best of luck.
I ran it last year for the first (but I hope not last) time and it was quite simply one of the most fabulous experiences of my adult life.
As a serial non-runner and mother of four my training was often interesting
, but also very funny. So i have written a book about it called: Running on Empty:diary of a Marathon Mum which is a lighthearted account of my training. I hope that people reading it who have never contemplated doing a marathon before might be similarly inspired. Because believe you me, if a duffer like me can do it, anyone can

And if you want to take part in my competition send me an email with your top tune to run to. I'll send the winner a free copy of my book.
Good luck on Sunday you marathon heroes and heroines!
