I'm doing my second 5k plan with a Garmin watch. I'm losing weight and I notice that I feel weaker during runs. Should I adapt my running to the weight loss?

Male
Age:58
Weight: 80.5kg (aiming for 77Kg)
Losing 1.5kg to 2Kg per week.
Previous best time: 26:06/82.3Kg

I'm trying to lose fast as I find it easier.
