5 days ago i completed a half marathon, ever since i've had a sore heal :(
Its not intense, but i've done some damage thats for sure.
My running shoes were too worn it turns out.

I've bought new shoes (which i'm really wanting to try out!).

I have been hoping it wouldn't last more than a few days but it doesn't seem to be improving....
What have i done!?
Is this a common injury?
Anything i can do to help recover?
I really want to run, is this a bad idea?

Any advice welcomed

Cheers,
Allan.

Could be a few things just sore from heel striking ,you may have a bit of inflamation. Try some anti inflamatories you could also try some ice the problem with a heel injury is the fact that it's hard to rest as you still have to walk around on it .
try the a i's rest if possible ice the area (best done sraight after exercise) things should improve

take it easy
