If you do a two hours a week at xmph you'll burn y calories. If you increase your speed, you'll burn more calories and become fitter. Speedwork is the best way to go faster and you'll burn more calories for the time you run because you'll be running further. Having said that, you're already doing hillwork which is also good for speed on flat surfaces and you burn more calories on an incline.

The main issue here is you enjoying your runs. Running for fitness is great because you don't have to achieve anything.
Do a little speed work if you fancy it. But be warned, the more you get into it you will soon be entering races.

Your other option is to join a club. If you enjoy your running now, give it a go.
Check out the Clubs tab at the top of the for a local one.

Good luck !
