Well lads I have tried alot of things to increase my speed which is quite poor. Im fairly fit but am too slow to mke it at the top. I have tried ankle weights and tried long runs up mountains but they did not work can anyone please help me increase my speed before I make myself quit I am a soccer player and want to make it at the top , but without speed I cant . Can anyone help?

You will find A LOT of information there. It will be better if you get back to us with some more specific quetsions after you read some of those articles but I believe that you will find all you need there.

It may simply be that you don't naturally have a high amount of fast-twitch muscle fibres, which would usually make you better at endurance and long-distance running - so it's not all bad :p

I'm not sure about what kinds of training would benefit you both but I'm sure some of the others here will...
