I went for a long run on Sunday (15 miles) and have a really stiff knee since Monday morning. I'm hoping this is just tiredness and my body telling me to have a rest. Has anyone else experienced this before?
I suppose your stiff knee is down to how much are training at the mo.
It's kinda hard to tell if its normal without know what mileage/training plan your on at the mo.
There are plenty of guys on here who would be able to suggest advice to combat stiffness if you provide a little more info!! :d
eveeee - I've experienced plenty of knee problems :-( But I'm still running
Not going to give any specific advice as I'm definitely not qualified, but I have found hat stretching post long runs is important (one thing that's worked well for me is cycling 5 miels home after my long runs) and that swimming the evening or day after can really help loosen up the knee again.
Definitely post more details and see if someone can provide more knowledgeable advice though.
P.S. Well done on banking the 15 miler.
