How many times a day do you have to stretch to help an injury?

I have been doing the stretching 5/6 times today, is that too much?
The more you stretch the better you get?

I would have thought like exercise you could overdo it. Essentially it is a form of muscle use.

As to what constitutes too much, I wouldn't know, sorry

When I was injured after I first took up running I had to stretch about 4 times a day and I had to do some strengthening exercises as well

all depends what you are trying to stretch/what the injury is, normally we prescribe a max of [using a calf stretch as an example] 30 second hold 3x each leg 3 x daily
