No it isn't a poor schoolboy joke (although the place name did make me laugh!)

It's a 9k fell race at a place called Wincle (think it's between Leek and Macclesfield). The memento for finishing is a fresh trout!!

Any one done it? I fancy doing it as I like fell races/XC's and I think the idea of getting a trout is quality!!

It's on Saturday 3rd Jan.

Tough race , up and down, up and down mud, tree roots and rocks with very technical forest paths. Energy sapping and started off downhill far too fast... Suprise suprise! Got a trout happy days, went over on both ankles and nearly went flying a couple of times! Isn't this what fell running is all about! Yeah loved it :)

Well done James , I cant believe you went off too fast ! Har har har :d
I enjoyed my fell race back in January but they are a bit dodgy for injuries with the mud and tree roots and uneven ground !
