Hi all, a year or so ago I bought a pair of ASICS from an online retailer and had such a torrid time that I (me being me) thought..I can do better than that...so I did...I teamed up with a specialist running store and came up with asics running shoes ...everyone behind the venture is a runner and our aim is to produce a great store, backed by experts and dedicated to ASICS products.

I'm basically looking for some feedback to see what you - as runners think of the site and what I can do to make it better. We'll gradually bring on line some more features to enhance the 'Expert Knowledge' parts in order to provide potential customers with as much information as possible prior to their purchase.

I'd appreciate any feedback - good or bad

Thanks

PS..its taken me nearly a year and extended my mortgage to get this thing off the ground.....so go easy on me!

Hi

I had a quick browse this morning, I found the site very easy to use, and it is clear and concise.

When I have been to races I don't know why I do it but I always look at other runners shoes, and I would say a very large percentage wear the Asics brand.

Would you consider a clothing range as well or did you just want to be dedicated to the shoe side of it?

I think it looks great and good luck with it.

TT :d

Hi,

First impression is good, one slight niggle is that on the home page, too many selections (or size of images too large) requires the vertical scroll bar to be used and the white box on the LHS is huge (the one with the quotes in)

This page http://www.asics-running-shoes.co.uk/category.aspx?category=ACCESSORIES looks perfect to me, clean, easy to read and fits nicely on one page. (If I had to drill down from this page to use scroll bars then that would not be a problem for me but I have issue with having to do it on the from the 'main' pages)

Looks very good tho' :d

HI Granty, do you know what 'screen resolution' you are using....or is that just technobabble?....The idea with the main page was to use larger than normal pics to make the site look more appealing....I'll take a look today at reducing the number of main page images.

I really appreciate your feedback
thx

technobabble?.... no way - I'm a ubber geek ! :p

I'm currently viewing it using 1280 x 960 and more commonly 1280 x 1024 (no point having a nice TFT and not using it!) - I actually quite like the images, but am not a fan of scroll bars on the main page its the white space under the runbyrunners.jpg image I think I don't like (but I am being picky) ;)

One other thing, a numer of people who I know buy online like to see the 'VeriSign Secured™ Seal' (makes them feel more secure!)

But like I say - looks like a good site to me. (funnily enough I need a new pair - got a good deal for me ?? :d )

...hey, just remember Matthew Chapter 5 verse 5 - "Blessed are the geek; for they shall inherit the earth"....

Thanks again for your input...my Site seal does appear on the checkout page - you saying it should be always visible?

Deals on shoes....no problem....I'll set you up with a lifetime supply.....as long as you pick up my mortgage payments!

I like to see the 'seal' on the front page, kind of shows what sort of site you'll dealing with, especially if you get redirected from Google or something to a site you know nothing about.

As for the shoes, looks like I'll have to keep this pair for life then !! 4MM - I'm disapointed ! :p

thought i'd take a peek.... on my reasonably high res & firefox, no complaints...... other than the shoes still cost money... sadly.

slightly surprised to find the racer & trainer under 'specialist' mixed up with walking & tennis stuff..... could come under a performance tab.
